December News

The holidays are underway, and despite the challenges that 2020 has presented to us all, we hope this newsletter finds you well.

New Equipment Has Arrived

Some of our new equipment has already arrived! On Wednesday Dec. 16, our white machines will be removed, and on Thursday Dec.17, our new equipment is going into the main gym. And for our BODYPUMP fans, we already have some new Les Mills plates in the studio. Thank you for growing with us!

Late Cancellations and No Shows

To keep our members safe and healthy, we have limited group fitness class sizes. This means that our classes, which were already in high demand pre-COVID, are now even tougher to get a spot in. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to attend a class, not just hold a spot. While we understand that life happens and schedules can go out the window, we must enforce a new policy regarding late cancellations (defined as within 60 minutes of class start) and no-shows.

Starting in January, if a member cancels late or is absent for a total of 4 or more classes in a calendar month, their class reservations in the subsequent month will be removed and they will be temporarily unable to reserve classes for the subsequent month. They can still attend classes, but they must do so on a standby basis.

Our goal is to service all of our members as best we can, and we want to make sure the reservation system in place is being used to that end. Thank you for your understanding as we help ensure everyone gets access to the classes they want.

Boys & Girls Club of Oviedo

We are very excited to be partnering with Oviedo Boys & Girls Club on Broadway Street (just 3 miles from the gym!). From now until December 31st, you can drop cash, change, or a check in the marked boxes in the main gym or studio. You can also donate directly through MINDBODY here. 100% of this fundraiser will go to Oviedo Boys & Girls Club. Our goal is to raise $1,000 this year. We will also have baskets to raffle starting 12/12 at our farmers market.

Group Fitness Saturdays in January

Our Saturday lineup is changing in January. You can now take BODYCOMBAT and CXWORX on Saturdays in addition to PiYo and BODYPUMP! Reserve your spot today!

Gyms and COVID

As COVID continues to unfold, scientists are learning that chronic illness is what makes individuals particularly vulnerable to the virus. And so much chronic illness in the United States is tied to lifestyle, particularly inactive lifestyles. We already knew this, but staying healthy and active is the key.
